Gratitude
Notice the quiet blessings that often go unseen.

The Things We Almost Miss
Gratitude doesn't require a perfect day.
Sometimes the things worth noticing are so ordinary that we almost walk right past them.
The coffee that was still warm when you finally remembered to drink it.
The person who asked if you made it home.
Your favorite song finding you at exactly the right moment.
The sound of someone you love laughing from another room.
Five quiet minutes when nobody needed anything from you.
A dog asleep at your feet.
Clean sheets.
A familiar voice.
The first deep breath you didn't realize you'd taken all day.
None of these things erase the hard parts.
They aren't supposed to.
Gratitude isn't pretending everything is beautiful.
Sometimes it's simply noticing that even on the days that aren't, something good was still there.
Before you leave the Porch…
Think of three ordinary things that made today a little softer.
You don't have to write them down.
Just notice them.
Sometimes that's enough.

Gratitude changes the view.
